This is an old, obsolete, antique chicago police dept. Badge. It is referred to as the pie-plate styel and is approx. 3.5 icnhes across. They were manufactured. And worn from the late 1800's into the ealry 1900's.
They ewre made by the c. H. Hanson co. This particular. Badge is unique and states chicago police and has a very desirable lowe(er) number in brass and ro bronze. Numbers. Great patina on this piece.
