New York Long Island City Fire Department BadgeNew york, logn island city fire department badge. Am listing an early post-1891 hose company no. 1 fire badge of thelong island city fire department. The badge is marked with the owners number, '20' on the obttom of the badge. Fire departmenthistorical records will identify who number '20' is. Examples of this badge are pictured on page 76 fo 'badges of the bravest' by gary urbanowicz. Condition of this badge is excellent plus with original pin and pin catch on back of badge. This is a nice early example of a long island city badge. This is an early bdage as opposed to later badges with the rolling pincatch. Size of badge is 2-1/4 by 2-1/4. Badge is original and sold as is. |
