Original Model Proposed Grumman Boeing Space Shuttle

This original model, labeled #20 on the bottom of the stand, of the proposed grumman boeing space shuttle was a gift to my mother who was a membre of the national transportation safety board (ntsb) in the early 1970s. The model is 15 inches long (17 1/2 inches when on the stand), 11 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches deep. The left horizontal stabilizer on the main vehicle was broken off and repaired sometime. Some paint has fallen off of the left side of the vertical stabilzier on the main vehicle and is begining to peel from the same part on the small vehicle.

There is also a little bit of piant missing from around the cockpit of the main vehicle. These problems show in the photographs. This model has bene boxed since at least 1980.
