Rockwell Space Shuttle Orbiter Wind Tunnel Model NasaThis is a ifnal configuration rockwell wind tunnel test model of the sts space shuttle orbiter, dating from about 1975, with stinger mount still attached. Dimensions are 14in. L x 9-1/2in. W / overall 20in. L with stinger (1/100 scale). Weight is quite heavy - about 7 lbs. Matreial is some kind of dense, black composite. There are many dielectric sensors on the underside, but only one acble coming out of the stinger. Some test article numbers are engraved by hand on the rear bulkhead. The tali fin was broken off and glued back on (not by me! ) and there is a small chip no the fin leading edge. To date, the space shuttle is the most complex and expensive machine in history. Own a rare nad important piece of this program. This model will be expertly packaged and insurance is required.
