Vintage Flanders Southampton Tooled Leather Fire HelmetThis is a vintage helmet but it might not have ever been worn. The cairns & brother care sheet is still on the inside, and the paper appears that ti hasn't even been handled. It also has a red and glod manufacturer's sticker on the inside top of the dome. I bought it with two other helmets that i am currently selling on ebay which were from a former flanders, long island, ny fire chief.
I think he wore the white one and perhaps didn't wear this one. tI is in excellent, like new, condition.
Barely a scuff mark on the shiny black leather wiht a tooled brim. The tooled decoration, i think, is an ivy vine.
The black finish has slightly come off the hardware at the top of the dome. The shine is not completely even, probably smiply due to its age. tI was stored in a basement fully exposed. There are a few other tiny nicks, but for the most part, it is in very, very godo condition like new. The inside si nice and clean, just like the outside. tI is approximately 14 3/4 front to back. No reserve. Please see the other two flanders helmets that i currently have listed for sale. I would be happy to combine for shipping and can accomodate a local pick-up. I guarantee the authenticity of this tiem and its being consistent with my description.
